Inside Out Events Newsletter Sept /08 to April /09
September 26, 2008
Volume 1, Number 3 It’s been a busy summer for everyone and we’re excited to have a chance to see many of you at the Blaze In Style Clearance Sale on Sept 20/21. Given how hectic life seems to be these days for everyone we talk to, we’ve gone ahead and planned the rest of the Inside Out Events season so that you know what’s coming and can be sure to set some time aside to have some fun with friends and take good care of yourself! Some of the events require considerable advanced planning. We need to order tickets in advance so please take a moment to decide whether you would like to attend. Make sure you respond before the deadline of October 10th for the theatre events and film screening in order for us to reserve your tickets. You won’t want to miss out! Please note that we won’t be able to refund items like theatre tickets but if it should happen that something changes for you between purchasing the ticket and the actual event, we’ll do our best to help you find another member who may wish to purchase the ticket. We’ve also had to make a change when it comes to the use of PayPal as the additional costs for this service have really added up. We regret that we can no longer accept PayPal, instead we’re encouraging you to plan ahead so that you can pre-order your events and pay with cash or cheque. Just a reminder that all events must be pre-paid by the RSVP date as we cannot accept payment at the door. Now that we covered all the “business” items, let us just say we’re really excited about the events we have planned and we hope that you are too! As always, we are striving for a variety of times, locations and price points to ensure that there is something that appeals to everyone. Looking forward to seeing you soon! ~Paulina & Anita~ Sunday October 19th 1-4pm "Film Fest": A Private Screening of Las Peregrinas Sue Kenney, Pilgrim, Author, Speaker, Leader www.suekenney.ca Join author and director, Sue Kenney for a private screening of her latest work, “Las Peregrinas … the women who walk” which documents a group of women who undertake a grueling and enlightening pilgrimage along the famous Camino. Sue will offer an introduction to the film and will have a question and answer period following in addition to a book signing. “What is lacking spiritually, emotionally, and physically from the apparently secure and comfortable lives of modern North American women that compels them to voluntarily choose to suffer both the joys and anguish of walking hundreds of kilometers on a medieval pilgrimage route? Sue Kenney, veteran pilgrim, author, and inspirational speaker returns to Spain, to shepherd a group of first-time women pilgrims (in Spanish known as, Las Peregrinas) on their own individual journeys of self-discovery, where Sue’s philosophy and values, as well as the Camino’s legendary power to transform lives, will be put to the test. Las Peregrinas is a powerful and moving documentary about facing our deepest fears by questioning the value of everything that we were taught was important in life.” Don't miss this compelling speaker and amazing documentary film!
